What data do we collect?

Our internal policies and systems protect your privacy by limiting unauthorized employee access to use of your personal information. My Event Gateway collects the following data:

1. For Participants / Attendees:

Your data as a user is used by our algorithms to determine what events are relevant to you and should be shown to you. We use the data collected to improve our features, research and to facilitate secured payments.

  1. Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)
  2. In some cases the users especially the event organizers can request you to submit other information about your profession and career while you register for an event.
  3. Organizers can set up event registration pages to collect virtually any information from attendees in connection with registration for an Organizer’s event listed on the portal or mobile app. If an attendee voluntarily provides that information in connection with registration for an event, it will be available to the organizer and will be held by us in accordance with this Privacy Policy, but not used by us.
  4. The Organizer may use the data he collects any which way he pleases. We do not have control over it and you need to consult him for his privacy policy. Each event organizer can only see the data that he has collected and no other data.

  1. We collect information related to your event through ‘do-it-yourself’ mode. The information you provide include

3. Payment Related Data for both Organizers and Participants:
  1. We temporarily collect information about your credit and debit cards to facilitate payments.
  2. However, we do not store your card details.
  3. We only use services of an established third party player for all payment-related services.
    1. We use Razorpay for processing payments. We/Razorpay do not store your card data on their servers. The data is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) when processing payment. Your purchase transaction data is only used as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is not saved.
    2. Our payment gateway adheres to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

How do we collect your data?

  1. You directly provide My Event Gateway with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
    1. Sign Up online or Register for an Event created by one of the Event Organizers on My Event Gateway. We may also create a list of users who call our office numbers or numbers of the employees who work in the sales or customer support processes.
    2. Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback.
    3. Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.
    4. Download and use our event app for Participants from Google Play Store or Apple App Store
  2. My Event Gateway may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:
    1. When a Corporate user wishes to invite you for a private meeting, event or webinar, they may upload your employment data on My Event Gateway
    2. When a Corporate user wishes to invite you for a Partner meeting, event or webinar, they may upload data of all their Partners on My Event Gateway, in these cases we expect and warrant the users to ensure that they have obtained the permission from you to do so.

How will we use your data?

My Event Gateway is committed to protect your data & give you all the rights of controlling it’s storage and use.

How do we store your data?

  1. My Event Gateway securely stores your data at Digital Ocean Cloud Servers in US and India.
  2. My Event Gateway will keep your Contact Information and Usage Pattern till the time we get explicit request from you to delete the same
  3. The data uploaded by the Event Organizers or captured during the registration process of the events that are listed by them on MEG is deleted after 1 year of the event date.
    1. When we receive request from any user to unsubscribe or erase the data completely, the Organizers are immediately informed and your data is either removed to the Un-subscribed list or completely deleted and they can only see the number of records that have been deleted from their registrant lists.

Marketing

  1. My Event Gateway would like to send you information about My Event Gateway’s new features & important and relevant events listed by Event Organizers that we think you might like.
  2. We don’t share your data with any third party until and unless you have explicitly agreed to receive the communication from them while registering in their events listed on MEG.

  1. My Event Gateway would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

    2. The right to rectification – You have the right to request that My Event Gateway correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request My Event Gateway to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
